Research Symposium
The Australian Centre for Quantitative Imaging (ACQI) research symposium will showcase research conducted in WA in the field of medical imaging analytics, spanning the extraction of useful diagnostic or prognostic biomarkers to the use of artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning to inform a precision medicine approach to patient management. Conference attendees will be treated to a host of high-quality presentations demonstrating the cutting-edge of medical imaging research in WA, as well as a catered morning tea.
Workshop
This 2-hour seminar will provide an introduction to prospective researchers and/or clinicians to the field of quantitative imaging analytics. Important fundamental concepts such as organisation and acquisition of medical imaging data, necessary data preprocessing steps, and the basics of artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning and deep learning will be covered in an introductory way. Minimal prior knowledge will be assumed, so attendees need not be experts to gain something from the workshop. For anyone interested in working with medical images and analysing them in a more quantitative fashion, this workshop is one you don't want to miss!
